Community Outreach Programs

The Community Medicine Department at Holy Family Hospital is committed to bringing quality healthcare directly to underserved populations. Students gain extensive practical experience through a variety of clinical and community-based activities. They actively participate in community outreach programs, including mobile health clinics, school health initiatives, and home visits, providing them with real-world exposure to community healthcare delivery. Regular field postings to urban slums, rural health centres, and government healthcare facilities further help students understand the functioning of healthcare systems and the impact of social determinants on health. Additionally, students are involved in planning and conducting health education programs for different population groups, allowing them to develop essential skills in health promotion and community engagement. Through our community outreach programs, we ensure timely medical care, health education, and preventive services.
